We are optimistic that the Recital on 14th February, which will be given by Colchester’s Civic Organist, Ian Ray, can go ahead. Temporary repairs to the Moot Hall ceiling are due to be completed the previous week. Please assume all will be well! Should that not be the case we will post an update on this website.

Also, please note that the long-awaited repair of the main lift at the Town Hall is now underway. It is due to take up to eight weeks, so it is unlikely to be in operation until after the recital scheduled for 14th March and certainly not in time for 14th February. The old, smaller lift will however be available; access for this is via the side door in West Stockwell Street. The St Runwald’s Street entrance to the Town Hall is still closed.
